    • Updating a WordPress theme will keep the settings that you have previously applied using customizer (menu styles, widgets, additional CSS, etc).
    • Installing a new WordPress theme (using export & installing the 15xxxxxxxx-tg.zip file) will set your customizer settings to default.

    Easy update steps:

    1. Install & activate the plugin: Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades.

    You do not need to set up anything in this plugin. It will work in silent mode.

    2. Rename your exported .zip theme filename using the same name in every update & install it.

    You may choose any name that you want. We recommend to not use spaces or any non English or special characters.

     

    By following the previous steps, you will be able to install every new exported theme as an update of the previous one, keeping the previous customizer settings.

    Any setting changed here will remain the same:
